ARETHA FRANKLIN SET TO RETURN TO THE STAGE

Just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 'Aretha Franklin' will return to the stage next summer, The singer is recovering in a hospital from a unknown surgery in Detroit. Read more below.




"Aretha is believed to be in good spirits, saying in a statement, ‘God is still in control.’

And the Rev Jesse Jackson, who has visited Aretha a number of times since she was taken ill, has said, ‘Her spirits are high and her faith is strong.’

Her cousin Brenda Corbett added that she was ‘doing better than expected’ and could leave hospital after the weekend." {Source}

A while back the singer talked to MTV in a interview and said


 “I’m mixing every type of genre that I love and I’m inspired by every type of genre. I’m not in a box. It’s not R&B. It’s not typically pop. It’s not rock. It’s just everything I love all mixed together in my own little gumbo of music”.

The singer says that quite a motley crew of musicians have inspired the album: “Definitely Fela Kuti, the Stylistics. How random, right?” she laughed. “So many people … Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, of course, Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall … all of those things I’m kind of mixing together”

With all this excitement surrounding this new LP, it sure seems to be the one that will define her as a artist of many genres and not just a booty shaking diva as we have all have seen previously. With the producer's such as Sean Garret spilling the beans around town about the first single being a monster anthem, I'm sure it's bound to be a banger. REMIX: MARIO "BLACK & YELLOW"

Singer Mario has switched it up with a remix to Wiz Khalifa's song "Black & Yellow", surprisingly he isn't singing  he's rapping on the track. 

I must say that the song is very cheesy & I don't think that he should ever attempt to do this type of music, he just stick to singing R&B music & leave the rapping to the artists who can pull it off.

NICKI MINAJ PARTIES IN LAS VEGAS FOR HER 26TH BIRTHDAY

Ms. Nicki Minaj celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday in Las Vegas at TAO. The celebration was attended by some of her close & famous friends like her Young Money team Lil' Wayne, Baby, plus Amber Rose, Cassie & many others. She was presented with two birthday cakes one which that was carved into a pink barbie car with a barbie inside.
