Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing a wonderful & talented friend of mine, his name is LOCO. He is a openly gay rapper who has just released his first mixtape entitled "No Shade". He spoke about his new mixtape & being a openly gay rapper in the rap industry.

1. Explain the title of your mixtape "NO SHADE"?
Usually In Our Community (LGBT), When we speak and talk about shady things, we always end it with "No Shade", when we really mean things in a shady way. So my meaning for the mixtape is, i'm coming in the game and NO SHADE but im going to chop, and eat these rappers up.
2. What is your favorite track on the mixtape?
As of right now my favorite track is "Kiddies Wanna Play". but i love "The Introduction" as well.
3. What producers & artists did you collaborate with?
I made sure i worked with some of the best in the streets, Including DJ Infinitee, DJ janelly, Hyp3 Franco & Mykey Mic. Also did Collaborations with straight artist because i'd like to show that i have the support from the straight hip-Hop community including my LGBT community.
4. How do you want this mixtape to help you break into the rap industry?
Well, I decided to come with this fun side of rap. nothing to serious but at the same time i showed that i can do this. People seem to forget that music is fun and it's suppose to make you move physically and mentally.
5. Explain some of the "SHADE" that has been thrown at you by other artists. I honestly see it, but don't see it, feel me?
I think that when people saw my viral video for "THE LOCO" as Loco Menaj, they thought i was trying to be nicki but that wasn't the case. it was to grab some fun attention, but they see now thru the "No Shade" mixtape
6. Explain your song "Kiddie's Wanna Play".
The song was a fun song to make, It was meant to show a good nasty but funny and serious side to me. Overall i made it to show this is what i do and how crazy i can be while pushing these other artists buttons. I don't diss them, I Play With Them.
7. Do you have any surprises coming up for your fans?
I Do! But they wouldn't be surprises if i told ya'll. =)
8. Talk about your experience doing the show "The Good Wife".
My experience on the show was fun, they actually took the scene out, they did that to me in ugly betty as well. including step up 3D but its ok. my time in acting will come. maybe it's just not ready for me.
9. Do you want to do more acting in the future?
I would love to! i actually went to school for the performing arts and took acting, dance and music classes. I was made for this.
